Has the Prince of Wales on the Weston Road shut again?
I hope not, we rehearse there. Where have you heard that? I was there a week ago Tuesday and it was all still up and running.
Prince of Wales - lights on and looking open tonight.

I was also surprised to see the Waggon and Horses open, when did that happen?..

Alright, everyone down spoons and in a few months time I'll kick off a thread about the face there are only two pubs available in the town and they are both theme pubs.

I was a bit puzzled by what I thought I saw in P&A today. There was a sign in the main window saying "Liquid Sale" and some guys inside shuffling stuff about. Stock sale maybe?

"TONIGHT AT THE Bear Pheasant Stafford KARAOKE !!!! from 8pm all welcome. thanks for all your support at this difficult time and we expect the Grapes Stafford to be open by next friday for our Jimmi Hendrix tribute band ( are you experienced?)"

Looks like they're back up and running (or at least planning on it grapes-wise) :)

I just mentioned to someone about the Bear & pheasant & they asked me if I was sure as they went past it earlier and it was really busy.

I'm pleased it's open I quite like it in there, I was sad when I thought it was shut.

Good to hear it's up and running again!

Hi all, Stafford is one of the few towns that still has some decent pubs. It was a shock to walk to the Bear and Pheasant on Thursday and find it closed. I was only in there on Tuesday and its one of my favourite pubs, always a good pint, great staff and a cracking hot fire! Hope it has reopened as its a great pub but times are hard for pubs the last few years.

I've never been in the Bear and Pheasant (was in The Grapes only last week).. is it worth a visit?

Also.. what are on the other 2 floors of The Grapes? Could they let one out as a flat and gain some more income?

Update on The Coach, anyone? I happily wasted several years of my life there a few years ago, but have to say it was a dreary place when I last called in before Christmas. Sad if it has gone, it could still be a good place again with a little TLC.
