I've never been in the Bear and Pheasant (was in The Grapes only last week).. is it worth a visit?

Also.. what are on the other 2 floors of The Grapes? Could they let one out as a flat and gain some more income?
all the rooms above are already rented out

Would you want to sleep above The Grapes?
Well, it would cut my commute to work time down to about 30 seconds.
I suppose, I can't imagine it to be the quietest of places to sleep...
I work nights, sleep days. I could handle it. I nearly moved in above the Shrew at one point.

The Grapes had a relaunch last night. It was fairly full and good to see some live music in Stafford again.

Welcome back:bananarock:
Eric Furze of Guitar & Son is organising music in different pubs during the music festival in May. Pubs such as the Swan, Rose & Crown, Joxer Bradys, the Nelson and probably the Grapes if it is open then. Don't despair there are pubs offering music

I see that Eddy has been declared bankrupt (page 16 of the Newsletter) following a VAT bill of £32k and flouting a trading ban. Not sure where this leaves the Grapes but hopefully it will stay open.

Never mind the ruddy grapes - what about the £32,000 !!

Going bankrupt is far too easy

All that means is that we all have to pay more taxes
In the second quarter of last year there were 27,390 individual insolvencies - so, that's about 9,000 a month - 300 a day - 12 an hour - or one every five minutes, 24 hours a day, seven days a week - not that the courts work those sorts of hours, of course.

Might not have to wait quite that long - try 2019 & 2024, for a start..

On average, once every seven years, but Leap Years break up the sequence.
