Woman 'chased by badger' around Staffordshire Shell station

She was so surprised she dropped her curry

A badger loose in a Staffordshire petrol station chased a woman so aggressively she dropped her curry. Molly Paget ran from the large mammal as it persued her around a Shell garage in Stafford.

Usually, badgers are said to run to the nearest den when they come into contact with humans. But this one seemed to see red as Molly stopped off on her way back from work.

She said: "It happened on Monday as I was on my way back from work at around 8:00pm. I stopped in at the Shell garage in Stafford and there it was."

"A police officer walked in and saw it, but then just turned around and walked back out," she added, reports NorthWalesLive. Despite appearances, the badger wasn't actually shopping, more so a case of nature quite literally calling: "He didn't take anything, he just ran into the loos." Molly said.
"I was scared though when he chased after me, I dropped my curry trying to get away by going down two different aisles, he was always close behind until he went into the bathroom. It's the first badger I've ever seen alive."

"None of the other staff members saw the badger come in, but when they did they all screamed. Then a random man asked for a brush and said he hadn't had his TB jab, but would have a good crack at ushering the badger out, which he did."

Heard about this last night, unfortunately never which Garage it was in. If it was in Stafford, according to my reckoning there are three in the town. My money is on the one near Brocton on the A34, but I wouldn't rule out the one on Sandon Rd. Do we actually know where it was?

I’d have assumed the one on Ecchleshall Road. There’s an enormous set on the cemetery and that’s not particularly far to roam.

Not sure, I looked at different articles after I posted trying to find which one it happened in, and can't see stone mentioned anywhere. So no idea where I had that from.
The report in the OP literally says 'a Shell garage in Stafford'.

Without wishing to be a dick, do you remember when you said that The Climax Blues Band was from Coventry, and presenting your evidence you linked to a website that then just clearly said that they were from Stafford?

Well this is a little bit like that.

Like I said, I've no idea why I thought the Climax Blues band were from Coventry, but I was convinced they were.

And I was pretty sure I'd read/heard somewhere that it was Stone, not Stafford (newspapers like of lump the whole of Stafford & surrounding villages into one place).

Without calling you a dick, why keep dragging it up when I've admitted I was wrong?

Is 'without wishing to be a dick' like when someone says 'I'm not racist but...' or 'I'm not sexist but...' where what the person says next is either racist or sexist? To be clear I'm not saying you're racist or sexist, but I do feel you have acknowledged, in your 'without wishing to be a dick', that you are clearly aware that you are about to be a 'dick'? Do you know you're a dick withnail or just looking for constant reassurance from the forum that you're a complete winkle spanner? Just wanted to aks a Pacific question for a friend😶

It's his constant need to prove how superior he is to the rest of us.
Any attempt to prove more worthy than others is a fools errand, people will form their own opinion of you based on their own view. That's why a person can never please all the people all of the time.

If it was in Stone they would have had it instead of a hog roast for thier crappy overhyped overcharging "food festival" (bunch of tents in a muddy field)

Bit of an over reaction to what was intended as a light-hearted comment.

Superior? You what now? Get a load of Billy-Big-Bollocks over here with his *checks notes* ability to read ALL the words of an Express & Star article.
