Bargain boast.

I'm sure by now everyone knows how much I love a bargain - particularly second hand clothes - I NEVER buy anything new when there are so many lovely used clothes to be had. I particularly like the Katharine house pound shop and the 50p rail at Roma and take great delight when people tell me how nice I look by telling them my whole outfit cost less than a fiver! I love boasting about my bargains so thought I would start a thread so we can tell each other if we have found a real bargain - doesn't have to be clothing, anything at all that you are pleased as punch with to have got for a song.
My bargain today was a pair of smart grey Ted Baker trousers for £2 from Katharine house - the full price shop (as I call it)
Let's hear about your bargains?

14 big metal plant pots on ebay for £20

They'd be about £8 each at the garden centre.

Also bought a double belfast sink for £6

Bargin

Nice buy on the plant pots.

Royal Doulton sink no less.... would be interested to know your plans for it. I do like the spelling in the listing..... "few scares" hehe....

Would also be interested to know how the seller thinks the knocks in it are "repairable".....

Two good buys though :)

I'll be planting the sink up, probably with herbs, I've got that one and two singles now, just need a couple more and I'll have a proper little vegie patch going on :)

Good work on the snooping though, I'm impressed!

No quite a bargain boast but certainly a rip-off avoidance...

At staffs uni they tried to charge me £1.20 for a bottle for water!

£1.20!!! £1.20!!! For water!!!

So I took a little trip over to the cafe and claimed my FREE tap water - just as delicious and did I mention it was FREE?

I can't remember if the tailors are still there either - although as we speak I'm hoping I won't need them. I've just run some WD40 down both sides of the zip, as far as I could tell its just that a couple of the teeth had gone wonky because the zip is really stiff. It's running fine now and hasn't burst open again for the last 5 minutes or so!
They were there the other week.

The sink is now planted with spring onions and baby leeks.
I've got a kitchen like that, too..

The wife has found cracking swimshorts for our boys ready for their holiday this year, in that quid clothing store. Can't remember what she paid though... honest ;)
