He is a Cllr for the adjacent ward, but as part of that ward is part of Baswich, he should attend these meetings

You should definitely invite him, just to see what he says, but if he did take part that would be another breach of the council Code of Conduct and the Localism Act. Still, he could then say he didn't understand the rules, so that would be OK.

How about asking our MP, J Lefroy, to attend?

In my constituency we are seeing a welcome increase in house building and, in particular, extra care homes, including 300 care homes for returning service men and women of the Royal Signals, who are to be based in Stafford. May we have a debate on not only the number but the type of homes we need? Many of my constituents say that what they would really like are small, single-storey and energy-efficient homes to allow them to downsize and free up those two, three and four-bedroom family homes of which I think sometimes we build too many.

He's been to all the meetings I've been to and always answers questions. I hope that the highways and education people are there to discuss the impact of traffic generated by 500 houses and the additional requirements on local schools, not to mention the health centre.

I doubt highways will be there but I do hope they are!

I cannot be the only one who is loving Dabbler's new Have At Yar? One can only assume that you are the most tip top,

Top cat.

P.S. Yalla - get yourself an avatar. You will find it useful, as will others.

Apparently Highways don't come out in the Evenings? (Perhaps the roads are too dangerousness at night)
#theyworkforus ?

In my mind I see Highways as one old geezer with a wheelbarrow full of chippings and a bucket of tar.

Planning is an empty office with a yellowed sign sellotaped to the door saying Out to Lunch, handwritten on a page ripped out of a 1998 diary.

It will be interesting to see hear his views on the planning app submitted by the council leader in his day job capacity. I expect that someone will have identified an urgent need for houses close to Baswich Lane.
