Beware road closures tomorrow and Saturday

I've just read that some roads in the town centre are closed from Friday morning due to the cycling festival. Greengate and Gaolgate are closed. Also road by Shugborough closed on Saturday at 6.30pm. Details are on the Staffordshire Newsletter webpage.

TOUR de France winner and four-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Bradley Wiggins will race in the Stafford Grand Prix this Friday, it has been announced.

The event marks Wiggins' return to road racing after breaking the Hour record on June 7, and he will ride at the helm of newly-formed Team Wiggins as part of this weekend's Staffordshire Cycling Festival.

Festival founder and organiser Paul Rowlands said: "We're absolutely thrilled to announce this news.
