We have been having trouble all day, BT say there is nothing wrong with the line, they are sending an engineer in the morning, it is going to cost us £210.00 if it is not a BT fault, we have a business line.

The work telephone at, er, work, was jiggered in the manner you describe today - i don't know whether it's a BT line though.

Will do,I called an ex BT engineer who installed our system, he seemed to think it was a problem at the exchange as he had another customer call him with the same problem.

We are by the old Castle Works.

BT line test is generally to tell you if their is connectivity what it can't do is tell you whether its a quality of service issue.

Borrow a phone and check with that.

My last problem I had was caused by squirrels gnawing the cable. Telephone worked but no broadband. Crackling on the line. BT said their tests said it was Ok. They replaced it with something that you can walk on.

We have had the same problem all day so I would say it is a BT fault, ours is a business line as well.
