People like nice pubs with decent food. Wetherspoons is neither these days. Pretty much nobody wants to spend money on a microwave meal at a pub. The margins on food are high unlike beer.

It was heaving today - we visited 6 or 7 different places in town trying to get a table for a some quick grub, couldn’t get near a table (possibly a blessing).
