So not everyone's put off by the "eye-watering" prices ( up to £8 for a can I've heard - and they're little ones not Party Sevens ! ) ?

The price of cans / drinks range from £3.50 up to £8 or £9, so some are quite cheap.

I appreciate that not everyone is willing to pay those prices but I enjoy drinking quality drinks rather than the mass produced rubbish that most pubs now serve. If people want to buy cheap beer there is plenty of choice for them.

No pub in Stafford does the sort of beer I like to drink on tap, Candid is a great place to try different styles.

They have all the offerings on their website as you can still click and collect. They are often changing the cider offering.

I've never spent that much on the beer there (although there are some at that level). You're getting a very wide variety of beers and to be honest I've never had a bad one there.

Also their coffee is amongst some of the best I've drunk anywhere....

And they always have a good selection of low/zero alcohol beer...

I'm quite excited, we're going for the first time ever for lunch tomorrow since the food truck du jour has a range of veggie / vegan options - Love the plans for Candid Canteen too (mmm, wood fired pizza)

Candid had a food van on Friday night. I didn't try the food because I had already eaten but it smelt fantastic.

Another very busy night there with only 1 table left when I arrived at 7pm.

I had two brilliant beers - Humming Error and On the Bubble.

On that note Jade Rabbit did excellent food (we were too full to even contemplate a bubble waffle but they smelt delicious) I drank lovely tropical ipas (my favoured beers if that's what I'm drinking), @Goldilox drank beers with puns in the name, my friend has local Staffordshire wine she declared to be delicious. Plenty of space and the app ordering worked fine.
