Recommendations for a cattery please.
the surgical team may let me go away but as it will be short notice I'm going to struggle to find a cattery. I have rung two to ask what availability they have but there's no space for some months.

I've used Pinetrees at at Huntington and Hotel Feline in Hednesford, both great, especially Hotel Feline. Apparently the one on the A518, something Villa, is good too.

The one at Worston looked good when we checked it out for our pair. Radio on all day and they even have pens with a small 'patio' area where the cats can drool over ducks and chickens the other side of the fence. Cat cam available so you can log in and check how they are.http://www.riversidefarmcattery.co.uk/

I've used here a few times but unfortunately they are fully booked for some time.

Villa is booked too, oh dear I think this is going to be trickier than i had thought. Will keep trying.

There are lots of places offering cattery facilities, the American term 'doggery' is becoming used more and more here for what we normally term "kennels" and there is even a bunnery in Cannock for the rabbit fraternity.

It is possible that Crabbery Street gets its name from a medieval crustacean home near the site of the PandA House..

I am considering opening a facility to look after people's bugs when they are on holiday, but I'm concerned about how people might use Google to search for it.

We also use Pine Trees in Huntington. They also have an outdoor bit where the cats can look at chickens too.

Hmm. Best not to open a pet boarding business on Cannock Chase that offers American-style accommodation for dogs and will also look after the family beetle then.

Is there no-one that could visit your house daily to look after the cat while you are away?

I did this a couple of years ago when eldest son went on holiday - I visited twice a day to feed the cat & change the litter - (closed & opened the curtains too) had a little play with the little monster too....and best of all someone is keeping an eye on the house while you are away :)

If you're prepared go a bit out of town, try Jenny Timmis at Croxton Cattery. Our Smudge used have his suitcase packed weeks in advance if he knew he was going to stay with her. It's really lovely there.
