Chinese in Brum.......

Visiting the great metropolis next week and planning a Chinese meal to round off the trip. Looking for somewhere 1/2 decent and reasonably priced that 10-15 mins walk from New Street Station. Anyone got a favourite ?..........

Chinese Town is a 5-10 minute walk South from the station. I like Big Wok, but it's more canteen and it's all you can eat - rather than a more formal restaurant.

I'm wooing a lady so probably want to avoid "the trough" scenario......

Might the lady be dressed up and wearing heels?

If so she wont appreciate a 10 min walk.

If you leave the new Birmingham New Street by the direction signposted "Southside" (I think!), then you're practically in the Arcadian area anyway...

Good selection in 'Chinatown' area, none of them bad. Head for Hurst Street, If you ask for directions for The Hippodrome that'll place you on the edge of Chinatown.
