I was due to be fed nextdoor, but, due to the fact that I am still coughing a bit, although I haven't sneezed for 18 hours now, we've decided to feed me here. It'll be no fun kneeling down behind the letter box, but needs must...

On a more positive note, I have got this far without hearing Wham's Last Christmas or The Pogues' Fairy Tale of New York, although I have heard covers of both, but not the originals.

Even Santa has to move with the times ..... (the North Pole could be tropical the way it's going .... 🤪😛)

Merry Christmas everyone. We had Eldest Spawn, Son in law and our Grandson round for a couple of hours. Thoroughly enjoyed that. Then I was trying to find the kitchen scales to weigh the Capon my parents gifted to me as they hadn't realised what they were buying and it was way too big for the 2 of them. I couldn't find them so made do with the bathroom scales in the end. Having underestimated it's size, we are now having Christmas Dinner at dinner time instead of lunch lol

The system functioned as smoothly as the James Webb launch.

My starter arrived - I'm not sure if there is a specific term for this combination, but they worked well together.

Then the main course followed, washed down by a 2009 Californian Shiraz that I smuggled out of Brexitland.

I am currently working my way through the final stage - slowly.

This is taking time - I am as replete as a newt.

Enjoyed our xmas dinner despite 8 hours of me cooking and washing up .

Cussed hubby for sending his works chat a photo of 'our christmas dinner' ... not later nicely on the plates , but of the right chaotic mess on the kitchen side beforehand with the scruffiest of scruffiest of old placemats that I keep for putting hot saucepans on the most eye-catching feature

Glass of expensive champagne (and nicest I've tasted) that sons boss gave him is now being enjoyed now I've finally finished cleaning up. :)

Decided next year it's back to either me dishing it all up , or it's back to enjoying hotel christmas breaks again !

And now having all my door hinges removed and re-tightened by son playing with his new electric drill thingy present

I have just got home after going the younger sisters for the day. I started at 7.30, we sat down to eat at 14.30, got watching sumat, so memorable that I've forgotten what it was, and we missed the Queens speech. Caught it later on another channel. I couldn't give a stuff what anyone thinks, I like her Maj, poor duck looks like she's lost weight n all.

Personally, I'm not a Wham! fan at all. Love Kirsty & The Pogues, have almost every record she ever did.

You should have got the husband an elf's costume and put him out in the garden for the day where you could have pretended he was a live gnome.

Go on, you know you want to
