How does "Staffordshire’s very own Bavarian-style market - exhibiting and celebrating local produce including Chocolatiers, Christmas decorations and other festive favourites" work?

Are we now part of Bavaria? If not how are our local produce in any way Bavarian?

I blame Brexit :)

There's been a Bavarian market place opposite the Radford/Trumpet for many years now, after Radford Marine went, possibly not due to U-Boat action.

Bavarian Style usually means sky high prices I have found.

It's a statement of fact. However I wish it all more than well and will undoubtedly go, though I'll probably give the ice skating a miss. It's also great to see the park being put to more varied uses.

Totally agree with @proactive and will probably attend but not the ice skating with my recent medical history.

I was just posing the question about the Bavarian theme.

Why can't we just have a "let's have fun at Christmas" in a Stafford way instead of trying to jump on some false Teutonic Christmas rip off promotion?

In the past most of this would take place in the market square bringing much needed footfall to the surrounding shops, seems odd to shift it to the park, almost as if the council want the town centre shops to wither
