Ha, tried again and found it. Grabbed four bottles of the dry and a jolly nice drop it is.
All gone now, hope they have more. The Orchard Pig disappeared quite quickly never to be seen again.

Meant to say there were 9 bottles when I was in earlier! I'll keep an eye out, I work in town so drop in regularly.

Picked up some of these

from Eccy Co-Op earlier, 3 for a fiver.
Still, dry, only 6% but a really nice drink. Defo on a par with Weston's Vintage.
Probs in other local stores. Worth seeking out IMO.

According to the current leaflet, Lidl should have mulled cider in stock - 5.5%, £3:49 a litre.

I didn't actually see any last night, but, being fully committed to the cream cracker hunt, I might have missed it.

This is the German home-market offering, the label for the UK market is generally similar in style, with "Frankfurter" replaced by "Original".

I located the above-mentioned mulled cider just now - it is on the Specials Island, next to the lone freezer. During the hunt, I also discovered a different mulled cider on the side of that island and a non-alcoholic mulled punch on the Christmas Island*.

*Not the one where the nuclear tests were.

Obviously, they also have their standard "Christkindl" mulled wine which is the basis of any sane person's winter survival kit.

Been on quite a few different ciders these last few days. Stowford Press going down nicely at the moment , despite difficulty slurring the words out to order it after pints of another 'guest' cider :embarrass:

Worked out we had at least 10 pints or more each yesterday, with a mixture of different ciders, yet suprisingly enough this morning was the first time I've never had a hangover . Must have been the cheese & Onion cob I had in a spit and sawdust type pub that soaked it all up

Had a shock Sunday night though whilst enjoying a good laugh with people in a pub and could have gone on drinking all night ....last orders called at 9.45pm :o

Chevalier's still at the helm, however with over 50% of UK apple harvest going into cider production, it's a wonder how volume can be increased substantially.
Oh, maybe import french crops, Oh, tariffs might be prohibitive, Oh, maybe a giant conglomerate will move production, Oh, perhaps a giant conglomerate knows something we don't know, .....yet........
