Long awaited restaurant area now been open about a fortnight. They've done a great job of it with a log burner at one end keeping it toasty warm.
Proving popular with locals and attracting visitors. We've been three times so far, not had any complaints about the food at all. Decent menu, really good home made pies.
Some of the waiting staff on a bit of a training curve at the mo, along with fresh prepped food giving rise to delays in service but on the whole they deserve to do well.
I'm told that the Sunday lunch is exceptionally good.

Had a lovely meal here last night, big portions and tasty. It's a pity there is no menu online, but anyone thinking of giving it a try do, there is plenty of choice and staff are very friendly and accommodating, I rang to book and and it was full, but they rang me back and arranged to fit us in.

This is only my opinion, but for what it's worth that is the most uninspiring and unimaginative menu that I've seen in a long time.

Agreed, taken on its own it looks pretty dire. Not at all representative of the restaurant menu though.

Ah yes I see.

The restaurant menu that @Noah posted does look nice, I totally agree.

But that take away menu is for the truly lazy.

Who on earth would pay £7.50 for scampi/chicken/ etc and chips when you can bung the same thing in the oven at home?
