Common Road closed

Police have closed off the Common road from Astonfields end. Cars are being turned round at the VW garage before the bridge by Police. There has been an "incident" . Cars being diverted up Sandon Road.

Just driven down there 10 minutes ago, didn't see anything at all, road fully open, so whatever it was must have been cleared up!

There was a man sitting on the edge of the bridge in distress and they thought he might jump I suppose. Article on Newsletter website.

All cleared and hopefully man was ok.
