At 6+ months since most people have had a covid vaccine is there any evidence that it is preventing transmission?
Some... have you noticed that those going INTO hospitals now on the whole come OUT of them?
looking at current infection rates within a highly vaccinated population the evidence looks weak. Anybody have 2022 data sets on this point?
Are you genuinely suggesting, two YEARS into this, that there is somehow little evidence to suggest that both you and GG are not barking...

... up the wrong tree?

Actually @cj1 , you tend to vacillate rather than go 'all in' - obviously you bring form for backing the wrong horse from the off which doesn't help - what does 'looks weak' look like to you?

We are ready to eviscerate you, so no pressure.

Went for a walk early yesterday morning (I wore a mask and chose a secluded route where I wouldn't see anyone) and it absolutely wiped me out for the rest of the day. This despite me not having really had any symptoms beyond a cough and the rash for 4-5 days now. This virus really does take it out of you, this coming as somewhat of a surprise to someone who has been taking it seriously this entire time too. Obviously there are those lucky enough to get asymptomatic or even milder infection, but overall I'd say you do not want to catch this.

Think dad is over the worst of it, thankfully.

Met a girl yesterday who's had it 3 times, said the first was OK but they got progressively worse. She was half my age though!

Finally testing negative on day 12 and out of isolation! Honestly I felt like I could cry when that sweet single line showed up again. I cannot WAIT to go back to never going out but it being by choice now.. ahem.

Got to go do some shopping for the parents this morning so hopefully that doesn't knock me out again like the last walk did.

After nearly two and a half years of being careful and not really going anywhere I feel like complete pants as I tested positive on Thursday afternoon.
Cough, runny nose, sore throat, headache, achey body but no diarrhoea, thank the lord. Lack of sleep has been a pain but hopefully I am heading out of it. Day five tomorrow, let’s hope for a single line.

Sorry to hear that mate, it does indeed suck. Hopefully you'll be over the worst of it in a day or two, mine peaked at day 3.

Glad to hear you are improving, hopefully back to 100% soon,

Wondering if my immunity will have run out when I go out in Birmingham on Thursday. Seems likely.
I'm thinking similar after traveling on packed trains to and from Leeds this weekend.

I'm also out in Birmingham on Thursday but the group I'm going with have all said they'll test first and we can hopefully keep some distance from the great unwashed.

We had a rare visit from Eldest Spawn, mother of Spud on Sunday. It was lovely, gave Spud cuddles and Eldest got a nice big hug as she left. Unfortunately she messaged yesterday to tell me she was now feeling like death and had tested positive. We are really hoping she didn't pass it on.

First day working in an office for over two years.

It's quite nerve racking with so many people about and face to face meetings are just simply weird!

It also felt really strange ironing a proper shirt and making butties for lunch at 06.30.

Luckily I did remember to change my attire from my usual working from home clothes 😂

I went in last week with almost all of the rest of the department. It was way too busy! I much prefer it when there's only 20 or so in and we can spread out.
