Just realised we can't go get our boosters now till the poor kids are better. Just adding to my frustration. We got the message on Friday to go get them done. Grrr.

I could do with a booster each month.
My cough that had puzzled doctors for over 2 years (with many scans, xrays and trying every medication going )suddenly disappeared straight after the 1st Pfizer jab. It had just started creeping back 5 months after the 2nd jab, then since my booster it's more or less disappeared again. Whatever is in the vaccine seems to be the magical cure :)

I need to have a LF test tomorrow AM to be allowed into hospital with my wife, I have a box but they've been on top of the fridge for 2 months as we rarely go anywhere lately. They should be OK?

How are people going about getting boosters - my doctors are awful - I had to bypass them to get my jabs done in the first place by contacting my consultant at the hospital. I asked them last week about boosters and they just said I would be contacted when I was eligible, I'm not overly confident as the call never came when I was eligible earlier in the year.

My kids jabs keep getting cancelled, not just the covid jab for eldest but but the flu sprays as well - at both schools, they've been rearranged at least 10 times between them.

I've got to say I'm less anxious than I was after mostly recovering from covid (I'm still absolutely drained of energy 6 weeks later) than I was but I wouldn't want to not be up to date with doses.

2 year life.
They're likely to be the old type - throat and nose, 30 minute result.
If you struggle to swab your throat, you can swab 10 seconds in each nostril as an alternative.
The newer ones are nasal only , 15 minute result.
I too can deliver the new ones if you preferred them
If you remember, 13 years ago I dropped off a GFX card to you, how times change

Book here. It will tell you if you are eligible or not when you input your details.

My new ones have got 2023 on the box , and still got a box with a couple of the old ones in which also expire 2023. So should be way in date @tek-monkey .

It says I’m not eligible because my doctors have me down as not eligible even though I am but they are useless and incompetent. I’ll call my consultant again then, what a waste of everyone’s time and NHS resources

Thanks all, was at the college last night for a meal (last night of freedom!) and they had tests available to take so grabbed a 'fresh' box. Took one this morning, all good, but no call yet so doesn't look like we'll be at the hospital tonight!
Is babby overdue then?
My youngest was 12 days over. Just under 5 hours labour,2 pushes, 2 screams and a bouncing 9lb 12oz beautiful baby boy came into the world.

Just realised not mentioned this elsewhere!

Not due til December 7th but my wife has developed gestational diabetes and he's growing too quick, so they were aiming to evict 3 weeks early. Hes been off the charts on measurements for months now, although I did point out if their charts only go to 90% of expected size they may need better software...

That was meant to be yesterday, but due to a very busy maternity ward in stoke (can't use stafford) we have to wait a little longer. Hopefully today, will be scanned and either induced or a c section depending on results.

I did a PCR test on Monday morning and popped it in a priority postbox right away. Still heard nothing back. Has anyone else found it to have taken this long?
