Actually, I will say one more thing on politics. One of the major reasons I would find it so difficult to vote Labour is people like Marwood/Theresa Green, (and there seem to be a lot of them about) who at every opportunity call non Labour voters scum/cnuts etc. Do I really want to join such a club?

Is that why the new test kits say nose only then, so that Boris can claim the numbers are going down?
And then sending all the tests to companies that closed over xmas to distribute, so nobody could test positive! Are we still going to start charging for them?

Yeah, a lot of people don't realise that they have to be able to win over voters from the other parties if they ever want to be in power again, otherwise it's all just a self-congratulating circle jerk. Now is about as good a time as ever to bring over Tory voters (from what I've heard on phone-ins of people saying they'll never vote Tory again, anyway) but you have to be willing to extent the hand.

Labour do appear to be willing to do this, at least, with their talk of embracing the flag etc even though that kind of rhetoric is a turnoff to many leftists (myself included).

Yet we have Angela Rayner, the deputy leader setting the Tory Scum example.

TBF, to be called Tory Scum, when I'm not even a fffffffffffffffffecking Tory, is the ultimate insult and anyone who does that gets what they deserve.

Did she call you it? Cos whilst even I don't think they all are the most prominent tory MPs do seem to be scum...
Sorry, my post was unclear. I've never met her so she's never called me it, nor would i expect her to if she met me, as I'm not either a Tory, or (hopefully) scum.

I was actually referring to someone on this forum.

Stafford is about to meet the grim milestone of 400 covid deaths apparently (or probably has already, deaths registered up to 31 Dec).

“Do the decent thing old chap . . .”

In other words, is it time for the so called ‘men in grey suits’ to direct Bozo to a room wherein is placed a bottle of whiskey and a pearl handled revolver ? *

*(Interestingly, I understand the North Korean equivalent to the above scenario is a field, a bottle of soju and a pearl handled anti-aircraft gun)

I do find myself hoping he doesn't go, to be honest. I feel like getting him out now will be cathartic enough for disillusioned Tory voters that they will then be able to vote for them again at the next general election, whereas their anger might better be reserved for when it can be exercised as a vote against Boris.

Yes but just imagine how much better off we'd be with Sunak as PM. Happily letting middle to low income families go to the wall because of inflation and the change in the energy price cap. Or Liz Truss, screaming "let them eat cake", as she prepares for yet another photo opportunity sitting atop a tank, as a precursor to her plan to invade Europe.

Maybe, if the Tories lose the next election we could have the great Barry Gardiner as PM in a variation of the Lib/Lab pact but this time involving our good friends in the Chinese Communist party?

Good times...
