Not giving owt away, but we have 5 patients on the ward that have been diagnosed positive. 2 of which refuse to stay in their rooms, that's mainly down to the nature of their illnesses. We also have 3 staff off with it.
Had to have a PCR earlier, get the results tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Best of luck Glam!

The infection rates have been looking encouraging this week but then it's hard to know how much the fact that barely any bugger has been able to get a test for a month factors into that. It might be as much to do with less testing?
I think @Glam s job, enables her to get a pcr test very quickly.

Quite something seeing Boris have to apologise to the bloody Queen today.

Someone (or someones) clearly have a stack of incriminating information about number 10, can't help but wonder how many more revelations there will be and what they've saved back for the killer reveal, if this isn't it.

I am outside the loop here, but the way I heard was "Number 10 has apologised to Buckingham Palace", which just sounded a bit odd.

If people are plotting to dump Johnson, they will be well aware of the need to consider the level of his loyalty to them*, i.e., zero. There will be all sorts of things to sort out, like how much of our money are they going to have to keep giving him.

* Or anybody outside himself.

Having had 2 days off, I went into work totally unaware of what was happening. Someone could've nudged me and given me a warning.

You must've been working your socks off then! We didn't half have a good chinwag!
I literally wasted about an hour chatting to the 'customer', can you come in more often please?!! 😂😂😂

I do find myself hoping he doesn't go, to be honest. I feel like getting him out now will be cathartic enough for disillusioned Tory voters that they will then be able to vote for them again at the next general election, whereas their anger might better be reserved for when it can be exercised as a vote against Boris.
Indeed, we need a GE but have no facility to actually trigger one. Once you vote them in you’re stuck with them for 5 years

It’s only if your MP does something illegal for instance that you can recall them.

The whole system is loved as it just allows the government to do what they want before the 6 months before they plan to have a GE

Rather disappointingly, a health worker friend has told me that issues with testing are skewing the picture.

It also allows him at some future date to say 'I didn't apologise, it was that wanker over there. OFF WITH HIS HEAD.'
Turns out it's even more farcical than that.

I was listening to some coverage of it from yesterday earlier and it transpired that number 10 won't actually confirm *what* they apologised for, only that an apology had been issued to the palace to express their "regret that this had happened".

Any request for precisely what the "this" in the apology was alluding to was met with a refusal to elaborate.
