Coronavirus.

Yup, there certainly are. No doubt there will be some cases after Sunday in Coventry (Rammstein). Wouldn't surprise me if I'm the only one wearing a mask too.
Haha yeah I saw more people in Brixton on Tuesday wearing a mask than I'd ever seen at a gig before and it was still only about 4.

If I did catch covid it was probably on the two occasions I needed to take my mask off to drink water with being down at the front in the hot weather. Don't think I expected to go 11 gigs before it got me though so that's not a bad hit rate if so.

I'm a bit shocked, in our family, only myself (retail worker) , the carer (retail worker) , minime (school) & middle son (works from home) have avoided covid.

Middle son has come back from a stag do in Portugal this week & tested posative, despite his gf (primary school teacher) having it twice and them both isolating in the same house in the last 8 months.

🙄😣

Stay safe @SketchyMagpie

Down your throat detects it earlier.

Ugh, rough night, feel like I've been gargling broken glass and didn't sleep much. Still testing negative but I'm expecting to for another day at least from watching how it's gone with friends.

Thanks for the tip, Lucy. Someone I know who tests samples in the NHS told me it would still catch a positive even if I just used it on the nose but I presume it would skip that "early catch" benefit if not used as intended.

Covid sucks, if anyone is wondering.

Thankfully managed to get some sleep last night but I've moved from the sore throat to the sneezing/snotty stage. Think I have a mild infection because I haven't had any fever yet, probably thanks to my vaccination status even though that protection level will have lessened by now.

But yeah, covid sucks. Not looking forward to a week or more of this.

On a work trip to the US. Woke up yesterday morning feeling a little rough, did a self test and came back positive. Being in the States I called the Medic who took a further test and confirmed a positive with a rapid PCR within 30 mins. Now being held in Isolation for 5 days. Only arrived on Tuesday and remember thinking that the guy behind me on the flight was coughing away and just hoped it wasn't Covid. It probably was and I'm kind of kicking my self for not wearing a mask.

You do know that this is a known side effect of the vaccine, yes? So much so that it was halted in Denmark, then more widely in Europe, while it was investigated?

You perhaps remember that it was subsequently found that the effects of Covid-19 infections were actually more likely to lead to the kind of clotting that lead to the death of Mr. Spit than those caused by preventative vaccination?

Or perhaps you are suffering from a lapse of memory?

If i remember correctly, all of us that received the vaccine were due to lose "100%" of our "entire immune capability" by now.

Am i suffering from a lapse of memory?

The second line on my test today is so thick and bold that it's almost black, I swear! I feel like covid is just showing off now.

The worst symptom for me has been the sore throat, makes swallowing so painful and the paracetamol hasn't helped so I'm onto honey and today I'm going to try a numbing spray.

Other symptoms have been extreme fatigue (spent the entirety of yesterday conked out in bed), hot and cold flushes and vacillating between feeling good and like I've been hit by a truck.

It's kind of mad to think we're all supposed to be carrying our normal lives with this spreading everywhere, it's absolutely awful. Worse than the flu, for me at least.

Gargling with salt water can help your throat and a berroca in the mornings may make you feel a bit less wiped out
