I have recently heard a phrase that is as follows....
Bees do not waste their time explaining to fly's that honey/nectar tastes nicer than sh1t.
Sometimes it's best to let the local idiot find their own 'path' in life 😉
If someone is really negative in life and with their life the benefit of anyone's experience will only make them more negative. Basically 'energy vampires' are best left alone @SketchyMagpie

Self harm? Addiction! Your level of empathy and understanding knows no bounds. I can;t remember if it was you who first fired the shots with "Nut Job" jibes. That would be fitting from somebody who assesses people and treats fairly.
So what happens to those people when the NHS collapses and we have to pay private? Because that's the way we are going. Private health care instead of National insurance payments by the working which means no workie no health care.
And as a worker that's priced private medical insurance I can say it would be cheaper for private health insurance per month than what I pay in NI which if the NHS collapses I wouldn't have to pay. Probably because I would only need to cover my own medical and not have to pay a share of other people's that don't work.
You seem very stressed on this forum Gilbert? Have you tried Yoga?

You seem to be forgetting that a small minority will need NHS care for recovering and many of those may have been ill with other conditions.
I'm alarmed that so many people seem to do a full 180 with their views going from "we must care for ALL and take the correct actions BECAUSE WE CARE" to "You should suffer because you didn't play our game!" You sound like fascists! CRASS!
😂😂 I think your refering to NI from working people paying 'for all' the NHS is not far from collapse. At which point people will get the medical care that they can afford to insure/pay for. An I know my payments to cover my family privately would be less monthly than I pay in NI so if there was a choice to 'opt out' of paying for everyone (NI) and pay private for just my family, I would jump at it.
Dude have you considered a hobby to help you chill more? You come across as very highly strung? Maybe yoga or meditation.

Isn't NI for more than healthcare?

My main issue with the NHS is outsourcing, its weird that people obsessed with home ownership are so desperate to rent services rather than own the infrastructure. Everyone knows that's the more expensive route but lower bills right now seem more important than our future.

We could afford to bail out the bankers, we can afford not to chase dodgy PPE contracts and illegal covid support, but we can't afford to pay for our healthcare.

Most of the funding for the NHS comes out of general taxation. Only a small amount comes from NI. NI mainly pays for the state pension, statutory sick pay and maternity leave, as far as I remember, from when I looked it up several years ago.

Do i really?
I'd rather come across as caring and highly strung than out of touch and full of self interest. If that's how simple you think a system would be, you're in for a rude awakening!

@gilbert grape, just wondering, do you wear a mask when you go to the hospital, if you have had cause to recently?

This isn't a setup for a "gotcha" or anything, I've been there for the last few days, noticed they're asking everyone to wear them. Thought of you and was just curious.

Everyone is meant to wear one while in a hospital setting. That is one rule I wouldn't expect to be dropped for a while yet.

Funny you should say that.
Rules vary and make very little sense.
Stafford has a rule of masking up.
Cannock has signs signing you should mask up, but then on walking into the specific clinic they say you don't have to wear one in there!
I rest my case!

Stafford has no rules about masking up as you well know so I have no idea what you are trying to infer here @gilbert grape.

As an example I saw you in the Rangers clubhouse a few weeks ago and nobody was wearing a mask so what exactly is your basis of this rule actually based on?

Happy to discuss over a pint with or without the said masks.
