Sometimes I will do the research and respond to him if he brings up something I've not heard about (like the "17,000 qualified scientists have signed this declaration" thing that turned out to be nonsense) just so that I'm prepared should I encounter that argument "in the wild" but when he's just repeating crap that has already been thoroughly dismantled, as with that last post, then it's not worth anyone's time to engage.

I started responding to this with data and sources but genuinely I don’t think it’s worth it. You are in too deep and facts if they don’t meet your confirmation bias will be brushed aside. Good luck Gilbert, I hope friends and family you do listen to are doing their best to pull you out of this.
Totally unblinkered and, if anything, more and more that I know are waking up. Thanks for your concern.

Says he who regurgitates his 2020 story! Your misplaced loyalty rather than expert knowledge worries me. Telling me I'm wrong, while telling me the government and WHO are 100% right, tells me one thing and it isn't that you know better than anybody else!
People believing that the WHO can take over our global healthcare for emergencies, whilst treating us all the same, is part of what's going on. If you truly think that is all for our interest, just like 15 minute zones, I'll pass you all the tin foil!

Even statements like that, the claim that I think "the government is 100% right". I've said multiple times that I think they locked down too late, mishandled much of the pandemic for the following two years and then finally removed restrictions for political rather than health reasons. I think Boris's lot did an *awful* job and are responsible for tens of thousands of unnecessary deaths. I did not wait to be told to wear a mask and I didn't stop when they wanted us to. I got a jab not because I was told to but because I understood that many of the claims of it being rushed or not properly tested were based on an incorrect understanding of the process. Regardless of whether you think those stances are based upon sound knowledge or not, they're not born of "loyalty".

As always, you are talking absolute bullshine.

So you know Bridgen's background is a family business in Agriculture, yes?

So he studied biosciences at Uni, yes?

You know bioscience is basically 'how plants grow' + 'how animals grow' -> 'how can we grow them better', yes?

You know that, right?

Appealing to his expertise to be relevant to immunology is akin to you asking an expert in family law to file your business tax returns. It's all law, right?

Wife has Covid for the 2nd time just over a year since her first bout. She should be entitled to anti viral medication. We are waiting for a call back (should have been at some point yesterday).

Symptoms are cough, temperature, tiredness and just generally feeling unwell.

UPDATE: Wife is ok now other than her energy levels not quite back to normal. Finally had the call regards anti viral treatment on Friday but she is no longer eligible. Not the best system considering she first contacted them on the Sunday. It seems I have avoided catching it (touch wood) which is how it played out last year

Scarily...barmaid serving me has just announced she's had her 5 sick days off work , but is still testing positive for covid . But "allowed to come to work now officially"
No wonder it isn't going away .

Yep, even if we test positive, but have no symptoms after 5 days, we can now go back.
I still struggled to move after 5 days when I had it last year.

Sanitiser won't do a lot I'm afraid, it's airborne.
Yes a& e nurse came out shouting at people waiting to put their masks on in the 2 times I've been there in the last 10 days....masks were freely available, but no one bothering when it was previlant in the hospital.

Yeah , I know , what trying to stand back from the bar as best I could.
But as the only barmaid on she was walking around the pub breathing on everyone as she was collecting glasses.

Sanitised my glass & packet of snacks.

Suggestion....don't go to the pub.

It's not the barmaids fault, it's all the idiots out there still going to places & thinking they're safe.

Not going again. Only popped in after visiting GP surgery for Hubby's back saga

Can't believe someone could turn up to knowing they are full of ìt.
