You maybe can't blame her for going in but if I was in that position I would definitely wear a mask and sanitise/wash my hands before touching anything as much as possible. It doesn't sound like she's entirely blameless.

I've heard the heroes nonsense mentioned, just not by him. They weren't heroes, they just paid money for someone to drive them somewhere they weren't capable of.
