She'll probably win though, Stafford voters are really good at voting against their interests

Well that's 'interesting'. She's currently borough councillor for Littleworth. If she wins as County Councillor there will be a borough councillor gap.

They can be both county and borough councillors if they want.

Other jurisdictions restrict people to holding no more than one public office at a time - election to another would require resignation from the first.

Didn't there used to be a restriction that you couldn't do both? Not sure how many are in it for the money? What does a local councillor get as an allowance these days, didn't think that it was a huge amount, but could well be wrong!

No, unfortunatly. But Doesn't holding both constitue a conflict of interest though?

Only used if a party wish to stop a person standing apparently. Say no more!
