Two things I like about this. One: I didn't know Glen Campbell was such a good guitarist. Two: He clearly liked having that orchestra on the stage with him. OK, I prefer the original, but this is a good cover ... ;)

Glen Campbell was the first major artist to emerge from the Wrecking Crew. And Mason Williams who wrote Classical Gas, was a member of the Wrecking Crew too.

They've just played this on Radio 3 - I wasn't listening properly and it took a long time to work out why I seemed to 'know' it.

It would seem Billie Eilish does covers of her own songs .... or they get mixed differently. Some might not be keen on the lyrics, but she's not one for pulling punches. :cool:

Sometimes called the Bond film song that never was this was written by Anthony Newley and Leslie Brecusse for a 60's musical. There have been many covers, but Nina Simone's is considered the classic version.
