In total conflict to the above....

Got a group of 11 of us going out for a meal on Saturday night and we called Vivere the new Italian restaurant opposite halfords in town...

Wouldn't take a booking even though there were 11 of us. We are hardly likely to just go there on the off chance they can fit us in, so the really unhelpful bloke on the phone and the rest of that place can stick it...

Off to Malabar instead.....

Us blokes were drinking pints of San Miguel all night and all of the pints came with no head whatsoever... looked more like a pint of cider... is it normally like that or do they need to get that sorted out?
i wouldnt say that was normal.

the pump at ours is a bit lively and can give you a pint more like a 99 if you dont watch it, but id still expect some frothyness on a less lively pump....like i would on any pint to be fair.

i've mentioned them before, but i want to skill FMS garage again.. ford wanted over £200 to service my focus, so i opted to go with FMS instead.. they assured me they would use all genuine parts, and it wouldn't affect the warranty in any way.. it was in and out in a couple of hours, and only cost £85!

not only that, but while paying i happened to ask his advice on how easy to use t-cut is.. he asked me to show him the scratch, and promptly whipped out a tube of his "trade grade" stuff and polished the scratch away right before my eyes.. i was gutted about this scratch - about 6 inches long, and the car's not even a year old - so when he wiped it away with nowt but some special cream and some elbow grease, i could have kissed him..

I have owned three vehicles in my life and always had them serviced/repaired at FMS - not once did I have a problem with service or price and a vehicle never had to be returned due to a job not being done properly. Highly recommended!

Bought some oil and filter for the rat family motor then realised that you cant do it without it being on a ramp due to sump drain being on the back.
Lift a man-hole cover in the street, get in and tell her to push the car over you - simple.

Think you missed the point mate, the car has to be tilted back to get the drain hole as the lowest point....

Unless you are then going to get her to jack the front of the car up while you're in the manhole?

Or is the manhole on a hill... then she'd have trouble pushing the car up the hill over the manhole :D

She can drive it uphill - the old oil will still be in at that point. Drop the oil and then run it back under gravity. Get out of the man-hole - fill it up - simple.

Just got really fantastic service at Clarks the other day. Wasn't expecting it either and it was a really nice surprise.

The Soup Kitchen has always been reliable for friendly service and Duncan the manager is probably the happiest person - always with a smile for his customers.

Ladies at the main Stafford Library are always friendly and helpful as well.

Some Council types must be following the Forum! I've just finally realised why they put those otherwise pointless ramps near your house. Nice to see my Council Tax being used to somebody's benefit. That's real customer service.

A friend was in there a few weeks ago on a works do - waited 50 or more minutes for their meals, then when her 'special vegetable' pizza arrived it was loaded with black olives, which she does not like, so she asked for another pizza as there had been no mention of olives at any point. The waiter took it away and soon returned to convey that the chef had said that she should have asked or said something before she ordered the veg pizza. My friend then pointed out that olives are not vegetables, to which the chef agreed she had a good point and made her another pizza.

They were so miffed at the dreadful experience that they went to McDonalds for dessert.

I don't think I will be trying Vivere.

We've been to Vovere twice now and had excellent service and good both times (there's a speerate thread somewher)

Anyway, I came on to Skill ' Harveys' in town, the Locksmith / shoe repair guy. Utterly impressed - £25 to re heel 4 pairs of shoes (in a variety of states) in less then a hour. Now I don't have to go shoe shopping all summer!

With regards to the bad service, I always make a point of letting the staff know if I am not happy. I have left several shopping baskets at checkouts because the staff to busy catching up with their mates/colleagues. Have walked away from a desk before because I have been ignored, and I was most unimpressed with the bakers by Boots last week. Is it the bakers oven or something? (not too hot on names now I am in Stoke) but anyway, went in to find 2 behind counter, serving 3 customers in a group. the woman on take away section was doing one order, while the guy was doing the rest, yet he could have handled the 3 of them and she could have come over to us. So after almost 5 mins of being ignored, we walked out.

Rikki has just made sure that I will not be responsible for the gassing of the Stafford Beast. Definitely highly recommended. If you need your pipework seeing to or you're having any problems with gas, then he's your man, without a doubt.

coop in littleworth = CUFFY
bit late on this one, but here goes.
walked in with girlfriend got what we wanted and started to que up, bit of a line building up so the staff opened another till..... so far so good. =)
woman in front of me looked like she was waiting for the first till so i thought ill go for the newly opend till, stood there at new till and was a little shocked when a loaf and some other shooping come flying past me...... oh its the woman that was in front of me at the other till :strange:
so she gets served by the confused lad behind the till and walks off ( oh yeah she was coop staff) i turned round to the lad and luaghed "what was that all about" the girlfriend was rageing and the woman on the other till said she would have a word about it (hmmmm heard that one before!):raise:
my reply was "im sure you will" ......attitude change coming...... spotty little oik behind till then tells me he doesnt like my attitude and isnt going to help me anymore.:grr:
so if your in the weston road coop and an off duty member of the staff barges in front of you dont comment or complain becuase ultimatly you will be in the wrong and have a bad attitude, wont be shopping there again!:bum:
this isnt the first time this has happened, one of my friends is barred from there becuase of a que jumper and another friend has mentioned about a similar experiance with staff jumping in too.
