Skills to Staffordshire Police! Used online form to report a guy caught on our ring doorbell trying our porch door at half 12 last night and they were here at 9.25 this morning taking a statement and the footage. Fingers crossed they get a result.

For what crime?

What other apparent crimes?
How would I know that? :?: He attempted to gain access to our property and looks like he did access our neighbours’ but fortunately couldn’t get beyond the porch. We reported it in case he successfully burgled any properties in the area that night (it wasn’t a case of someone coming to the wrong door by mistake - that happens to us surprisingly often and we confirmed with neighbours he wasn’t known to them before reporting it). Police treated it as attempted burglary and mentioned he’s connected to other offences recently. The officer knew the person immediately on seeing the camera footage. Should we have kept it to ourselves?

Don't worry, bunique, they're a troll. Best to ignore them.
I’ve no issues with TG :) just curious! I actually wasn’t expecting them to treat it was an offence tbh. I was just impressed at the speed of response given the current headlines about public services. But I suppose once you say you have video footage it’s a relatively easy one for the police to check out.

I had reason to call 999 from my workplace today, phone answered immediately and a pcso on the scene within a few mins...... Impressed as the last times I've had to dial it's been a longish wait......

Big skills points to old bill, and for the 2nd time they were called to (unrelated).

Hats off to Harveys on Greengate Street for great service and excellent communication. Had to get a few watch batteries replaced, one included being sent away for battery replacement, great communication by text when ready and very competitively priced to other options in town.

Huge skill to the gentleman waiter at Butlers Bell on Saturday. He was brilliant with my two children and made our breakfast an enjoyable and stress free experience.

And huge, huge thanks to the (owner?) of the emporium. My brother and I and our 3 children had a lovely visit here yesterday (sunday) and enjoyed playing the games. A fantastic addition to Stafford. And I'm really excited about the next phases of work that they've got planned - a jungle gym in the back for kids opening in March (I think) and a rage room on the 3rd floor opening in the next few years.

Skill to Traction Equipment, I called them yesterday at 07:35 regarding Calor gas availability, none in but a delivery expected any day. Rang again at 16:35 on the off chance but no luck. At 17:00 they called me to advise delivery just in but only 10 bottles. Impressed that someone remembered my call and took the trouble to check the phone call logs to get my number. I now have gas.

Not Stafford but big cuffy to Cross Country trains who sent me an email on Wednesday to tell me my train to London yesterday wasn't running and to re-book a later train.

When I tried to re-book it wasn't possible to book any trains for yesterday so I came down a day early.

Upon checking the trains yesterday there were loads of trains to London that I could have caught and saved on the extra night's hotel bill.

Having said that I had a great day yesterday starting with the Imperial War museum in the morning then lunch at the Oxo tower and an open top bus tour with friends from Essex, then met other friends from London for beers and a meal in the evening.

On strike day 18th March I found that most trains were running from Stafford but not the one I wanted for Stone so I used my bus pass instead.

He does an excellent job, had a few items altered there over the last couple of months and he's always done a great job.
