Your home office wallpapering on the other thread looks lovely .My name’s (not) Bob …..and I’m an addict.
I woke up this morning and before I went to work ordered £100 of wallpaper for the home office that I decorated 18 months ago redecorating hadn't even crossed my mind until I’m finding myself with 15 tabs open on the laptop with various wallpaper patterns.
I’m my defence I do spend a LOT of time in that room and it’s not quite how I’d wanted it, the curtains get in my way and the lighting isn’t adequate so it started with necessity
Kitchen got an overhaul between Christmas and new year and dining room was done early December. Since Christmas I’ve done the spare room that’s now the kids ‘den’ with a sofa bed in, and my bedroom but it was only refreshing the current decor and some new accessories so I’m not sure it counts
I wish I was like you and enjoyed decorating. Used to try my best in the old house for 40 years (hubby's never decorated, I've had to do it) , but never looked professionally done. Lots of bits stuck on the tops and bottoms where I cut the paper short and around the light switches where I just papered around them and filled in the wonky missing bits like a jigsaw puzzle Joins vastly overlapping , paint everywhere except where it should be and had to wear hotel shower caps as I splashed it about. (Being a short @rse , had a brush tied to a stick to reach high parts)
When some paper peeled off whilst removing a mirror the night before moving, had a quick dash to the Co-op and it got stuck back on with pritt-stick .
This new house was decorated perfectly when we moved in 7 months ago ....when it finally gets to needing doing we're going to have to splash out on a decorator to keep it looking 'proper' !
