There also seems to be a distinct lack of information on that page too…

The idea of paying for access to a food vendor event does seem very “city” and wouldn’t be as well received here but then again that’s basically the County Show too…

It's it just me that it seems a little odd??

Events take money to put on, advertise, staffing costs, entertainment costs - all of this needs to be paid even if people don't turn up to eat.

Ticket sales also means people are much more likely to actually go and make an event if it (we're meeting up with friends there) - I suspect the food offering won't be that different from a Stafford walking street evening but I like the idea of it being in the park and I usually forget about Walking streets, or I have a clash with something else - I'm also mindful of the last time I went a walking street the band playing were so loud we had to go elsewhere

Usually that’s paid for by the vendors because they’re going to make a killing from it, isn’t it?

They’ve sold out on tickets either way, apparently they used to let anyone in past a certain time but can’t find anything about that now

That is the risk you take when putting an event on!. We were considering going however, the entry charge put me off on principal. As @Cue points out, the vendors will be paying the organisers a healthy fee to pitch-up there. The £3 entry charge just seems like an unnecessary cash grab.

Agreed. If it’s about gauging footfall ahead of time, give attendees a voucher worth their ticket price to spend inside the event.

£3 a head entry was worth it, a really chilled event, with a sensible amount of people in the space. We'll be looking at getting tickets for the 9th July event.
