Katie Woodfinden owned a dept collecting agency, which chased me for payments for another dodgy Blackpool based scam "Internet Media Experts" I lost £320 for advertising that was never seen, I owed more but refused to pay the rest. At the time she was based in the same business centre as Atlas Business Services. I think they must have been sharing details of gullible people. I am not quite as naive now.

I've wasted hours searching for details of these scammers. When you have been ripped off, you can get a bit obsessed with trying to find out who they are and if anyone else has had the same issues. Katie Woodfinden has been in trouble in the past for selling fake advertising spaces in supermarkets.

They didn't even link to their website. That's how I caught them out. I refused to pay another penny until they could show me a screenshot proving the link on the NHS intranet Staffordshire Trusts. Initially, they made it sound as though my actual advert would be on the intranet, but in actual fact when I became suspicious because I had nothing from it, I read the contract in detail and it only promised a link to their (very low traffic website) with my ad on it. I thought, ok so it's my own fault for not reading properly, but then because the sales pitch was so convincing to the contrary of what the small print actually said, I became suspicious that

Hmm, one of my accounts has now been 'taken over' by Gteq Solutions...interesting, we shall see - does anyone know anything about them ?
They're obviously affiliated with TT.

Bit busy at the min to go back and check, but IIRC Atlas/TT were a reseller for GTEQ (GTEC?). Pretty sure we were in contact with them, I seem to remember asking them why they allowed such thieves to represent them (assuming they are the people I'm thinking about).

same thing has just happened i thought i got rid of TT they have stolen back the account from another provider and now operating under gteq solutions and because i refused to deal with them have now cut me off GREAT!

Is it a business line? Have you lost your number? If so may I suggest contacting a solicitor.

I think I'm gonna have to luckily it wasn't my main one but it was my PDq line which is a ball ache just registered with the ombudsman and have to back track to last years events with atlas and TT was sent a bill for 180 pounds for a line I don't make calls on that I didn't know was taken from my new provider so I'm to them as well

I have been informed by Trading Standards that Together Telecom have gone into liquidation (10/10/16), Gteq solutions have taken over the lines.

If you are in a contract with Atlas/Together Telecom you should have received a letter informing you of this news (from Gteq) and you should have been offered chance to terminate your contract early without any termination fees if you so wish (apparently there is a small disconnection charge to cancel your line?)

You do have to contact Gteq to terminate (I sent an email and they did respond!!!) : Email: talk2us@gteq.co.uk

If this does not work I suggest complaining to Lancashire Trading Standards (as they were told the above by a representative at Together Telecoms address):

Customers who are owed money by Together Telecom will need to log their claim with the liquidator.

I personally stopped paying Together Telecom quite a while ago (because of they breached their contract) and lost my landline because they are completely useless

A mobile thankfully is all we really needed anyway.

Gteq confirmed to me the other day that a contract between us no longer exists. at long last!

I had heard that TT were going bump with massive debts, but I've been rather busy lately in my personal life to investigate. Luckily most people owe them rather than are owed by, and as such can just argue with whoever buys their debts that the contracts were illegal and get out of paying. Atlas/TT were always just a gteq reseller so it makes sense that is where the contracts go, but I'd implore everyone reading this to closely examine your contract/bill before proceeding with them. Get everything you were promised in writing, if you choose to stay after that point at least you have assurances.

If anyone ever needs any assistance I'm happy to supply any I can based on my experiences, just ask here. Those who felt a need to contact me directly on my work email please be aware I don't take such lightly. I have done nothing wrong, and I like a fight.

Jeez, is this still all ongoing? WHy can;t anything be done against these cowboys, absolutely disgusting the whole damn saga, and I feel very sorry for anyone affected :(

From what I understand the business is being closed down now, with the main protagonist deceased and the firm allegedly in a fair bit of debt winding it up seems logical. Hopefully all this will stop.

This thread had been inactive for over 16 months.

The fact that you have brought it up again with your threats and vile posts to @tek-monkey says much more about you than it says about him.

@tek-monkey alerted so many people to the scam that was Atlas that in my opinion he deserves a medal and should be applauded.

Are you saying that you approve of people being scammed?

One can only assume that you knew him, perhaps a family member or friend?

If I'm correct, in that you are defending him, it makes you as bad as him.

Anyone decent that knew him would be mortified on his behalf.
