Does anyone know..?......Just ask a question.

How the theatre works now, post covid times....specificly Hanley.

Minime has tickets to Jimmy Car next week ...on the ticket it says 'allocated seating time 7pm' , but the show starts at 8pm.

The carer is worried about her roaming Hanley pre show as she's not not familiar with the town, and it's occupants. Does it mean the doors open at 7pm, so she has to wait for an hour before hand...or could she go in nearer to the time? She won't be spending time in the bar beforehand.

We're only used to the Gatehouse (neanderthals, I know!).
If it's Vicky Hall then it's all back to normal, though some staff and a very small number of punters choose to mask up. Arrive when you like after doors open, which is usually 7pm. Ignore their website or pre show emails, as they haven't been updated since there were COVID restrictions.

Thank you. We've only been to the Gatehouse Post covid, and it's business as usual there, the minimes email seemed quite specific about allocated seating times.

We've been three times in the past couple of months. No more restrictions. I like Vicky Hall as unlike many other venues, the staff are so fuss free.

I remember seeing Penetration there, supported by Radio Stars.

The singer in Radio Stars was utterly bonkers, I genuinely thought that he might actually die during their set - the second time was delayed due to injuries that he had received in intervening shows.

Doesn't give the full effect - the first time I saw them, he entered by leaping off the top of the organ, demolishing the drum kit - then proceeded to sing several songs whilst tiptoeing along the rail of the balcony.

@littleme I went to Wolverhampton Grand Theatre about a month ago and it was exactly the same as pre-pandemic times. You turn up and find your seat, there wasn't any allocated slot to take your seat. It may be a good idea to call the theatre to find out exactly what they mean.

If it's Victoria Hall, then I haven't been since before they went all posh and they used to have proper rock concerts there.

I was at the Grand two weeks ago and can confirm the above. Think I was the only person in a mask though.
I think she might, she was really poorly when she caught it, fortunatly myself and the carer managed to avoid it, but neither of us want it and minime wouldn't want us to catch it.

There were only a small number of the general public wearing masks. But as far as I could tell nobody else seemed to give a monkeys if people were wearing masks or not. If she wants to wear a mask then she should. If anyone has a problem with it THAT IS THEIR PROBLEM. At least half the staff were wearing masks so I'm sure they'd put any Raven/Grape type fools straight in pretty short order.

Serious question, any one on here have asthma?

I was diagnosed with asthma as a kid, told at 17 it was gone.

Last year (age 51) hospitalised with chest infection and kidney failure and told again I have asthma.

Given brown inhaler & spacer , 2 puffs twice a day, and blue inhaler, for emergencies.

In the last 10 hours I've had 2 asthma attacks....blue inhaler hasn't helped much, but collegue told me I need more puffs (8) on blue inhaler...took me 40 mins each time to recover normal breathing.

Should I contact the Dr's? Is is something to be worried about? I've had trouble all day being short of breath and coughing....

Anyone have any advise, I didn't get much info when diagnosed....

8 puffs seems excessive! Go back the Doctors, tell them exactly what's happening.
Have you smoked? Can't remember if you told me before?? But get your Doctors in any case. Please x

I used to smoke, gave up just before I was 40, 12 years ago. As far as I know my chest xray was clear apart from the chest infection last year...I had 2....never had a chest infection before that though.

Yeah, they just said use the blue one once, maybe 2 times if problems...but collegue said the ambulance staff told her to do 8 puffs in quick succession using the spacer as it was more effective. I looked online last night and it said to do even more , 10 puffs?...

Get your Doctors. We never give patients that many puffs, with or without a spacer.
