Thanks all for the suggestions regarding venues post cremation. Have booked the White Eagle Club (the lounge as there won't be thousands). Had wanted the Cricket and Hockey club but unfortunately they weren't taking bookings as they're having building works done.

Some things are never straightforward.... Called back to just check if teas and coffees were included in the rent of the venue.... Was told that they don't do that as usually caterers (who we aren't using) provide it.... So got to sort that out.... Oh for an easy life... Let's hope there's plenty of drinkers !!

Sainsbury's and Asda do ready to go sandwich platters, if that's of any help.

Sainsburys is very unreliable.

M&S are good ive heard.
I should clarify that...

The orders are placed online by the customer....its sent 'somewhere'....it should then be sent to the relevant store the day before collection. On arrival the items are marked off, and if anythings missing we notify the online team via ipad....this gives them a chance to send it on the next delivery, or generates a email to the customer saying its missing and giving a refund....items often are delivered to the wrong store or don't turn up at all, they're sometimes told that our store will replace items, but now that our deli counters have gone, its not possible.

It's very frustrating to both the customer and the staff at the store, as we have no controll over what's delivered. Most orders are ok, but not everyone, and I suppose this is the case with other party food providers too.
