Dog poo

Not a plesant subject I agree, but wanted to have a little rant about people not cleaning up dog sh*t after their dogs....

Went out for a walk last night around my local housing estate and noticed LOADS of the stuff on the pavement that people hadn't cleaned up.

Its bloody disgusting having to constantly look at the floor to dodge piles of the stuff. I have just e-mailed the council to get it cleaned up and also ask if they can prosecute people not picking the stuff up.

I could understand if it was in the middle of bushes and the owner couldn't get in to collect it, but this is right in the middle of a residential estate in the middle of the footpath.......

Maybe the council should start chopping fingers and toes off for each offence, that would soon stop it.

(Oh and if any local papers are reading this, ignore what I said below in this one off instance and feel free to do an article on the amount of dog sh*t around Stafford... maybe do an undercover story and hide in bushes snapping the offending owners)

Only works if the animal is licensed. I say just take note of offenders, and smear it all over their car door handles later on. Also pour milk in their air vents :D

Moose droppings haven't become that large a problem in Stafford yet. Although there could, of course, be localised occurences.

This really annoys me too, if you're going to have a pet then you should clean up after it!! I would love to see someone get a £10,000 fine for this, because tbh most people that would destroy them, and once its been in the paper everyone else may well adhere to the rules. The £100 - 500 fine is no deterrant and won't fund the prosecution which is why it isn't enforced.

Perhaps if we all go out and collect one each, then go to the Police Station and hand them in as lost property....

...would that help?

They should up the fine and fine people, twice as much on sports pitches as many children play there. I have dogs and make the effort so I expect other dog owners to do the same. I have even knocked on a door and asked for a bag when I forgot to take one with me on one occasion. I vote we have a dog poo warden. Use one of the traffic wardens, there's too many of them!!

basil

don't mention the blinds
All dogs in public places should be muzzled at the front and wear a bag at the back failure to comply will mean the dog is destroyed, no questions........

So throwing dog **** at the elderly is the way forward yes? All those in favour? Whats our councilors view on this?

They wouldn't let them shit in their own garden...
My eldest dog (now seventeen and a half) would go for a walk then come back and do it in the garden no matter how long we kept him out.

I've never had to use a clean up bag with my dog, and I do carry them just in case, he has a favourite spot in the garden, and won't go anywhere else, even took him over the chase today and he waited till we got back to go, we've trained him that way, it wasn't hard to do, mind you he pees everywhere out side, and I don't intend to carry a mop
