A lad I work with has just been dog sledding in Finland. The photos are on his website: www.matbanks.com. Looks ace.

Can't decide whether to do something like this or go to New York or sumfink for my 30th this year.

Looks gorgeous, who's the photographer?
I can only imagine how much moaning I'd do in those tempertures, but certainly on the list of things to do before you die.

You knows it
I went to lapland a couple of years ago. We did reindeer sledding and i have to say it was one of the funniest things i've ever done. The reindeers struggled under the weight of 10 intoxicated englishmen and after a couple of miles they started to collapse one by one under the strain. Meanwhile we all crying with laughter whilst our guide, 'deliverance dave' , who didn't speak a word of english, struggled to lift the deers back legs out of the snow. :D
Ski-dooing is even more fun, 50mph across frozen lakes is a great feeling but very tiring after 30 miles or so. Lets just say the troops take a bit of a battering! As for lapland I wouldn't rush back there. There really is nothing but snow, trees and reindeer. And they live off a diet of reindeer or salmon and maybe a potato if your'e lucky!
Good experience though
