As was quoted to me earlier, a number of them are sick of being told how to vote and have left to exercise their own choice. Not a shock, really.

Might it be a good thing if it splits the Tory vote? I've often thought that's one of the advantages that the right had over the left, that the left vote is divided between Labour/Green/Lib Dems whereas the Conservatives have been the one-stop for right wingers since UKIP were assimilated.

Wasn't allowed to vote this year. We filled in the registration well before the deadline, got emails to say they had it and we processing our applications and another email would let us know if we were successful. So far, nothing no email no voting card through the door. So that was that , we couldn't vote. We aren't the only ones who didn't get processed in time apparently and some of those who did and asked for the voter ID didn't get that processed. The council are lucky they were just a shoo in. If it had come down to the wire they would have regretted not getting everyone up and running. The Tories round here seemed to be running on a cutting services to fix potholes ticket. They promised to cut the pointless wasteful 'WOKE' services and divert the money to roads. funny enough only the die hard tory areas kept their councillors.
