Lovely.
How far away are you in relation to the drone then?
I was only about 850 feet away at the furthest point when flying over the Hall. I was standing on Essex Bridge when filming there.

In the future every one will have their own pet drone keeping an eye from a 13ft elevation

Quoting from another forum .....

"An opposition group in Syria have found a way to programme drones to remotely fly to a given pre-programmed location, and then launch bombs, meaning they can evade traditional drone jamming techniques as no radio-control is involved. Big implications for a) asymmetrical warfare and b) terrorism.

By way of background, over Christmas there were a number of reports of attacks on the major Russian base at Khmeimim on the coast of Syria, where most of their fixed wing bombers and attack aircraft and helicopters are deployed. A Russian newspaper - Kommersant - which is broadly pro-Putin, claimed that up to 9 aircraft had been destroyed and that there had been casualties amongst Russian service men. If the claims are true that's about £300million of aircraft gone.

These claims were initially laughed off - and denied by the Russian MoD - but since then, they've admitted the attacks - statement below:

Inertial navigation may be a bit less accurate, but if it gets through and the more potentially accurate ones don't, then it's just a matter of flying a few more for an improvement in the statistical chances of hitting things. They may even just point them in the right direction and time the flight, as the V1s did.

There are lots of rumours about who actually supplied those drones...
