Cheap date and I have been looking for a pooch for ages now, however due to my allergies and our work patterns it's been a bit tricky. After much research and preparation we decided on a retired racing greyhound and went to see a couple.

Turns out we couldn't decide between them, so we took both home :D

They're called Tipoki (Tippy as we call her, five years old) and sandy (Aero Rapture as she was known in the racing circles, four years old) and they're beautiful. Here are a couple of crappy phone shots and a video:

1, Couldn't you find one called Julian to go with Sandy?

2, I knew someone who had a dog called Tippy - because it only had three legs.

Lovely dags.

A friend had one a few years back, brace yourself when walking them and a cat runs away.......

and if you ever want to sell that antique pine unit in the corner, a buyer is here.

1, It is against a local by-law in Laois for one person to walk more than four greyhounds, for precisely that reason.

2, He put that video on Facebook and somebody called him a 'posh twat' - I don't think he's posh..

Lovely dogs mate, and nice to see some rehomed after being discarded by their original owners.

I have the same pair of socks here, in fact all my pairs of socks are odd. MoD1982 doesn't wear them any other way.

We used to have a 3 legged German Shep, we called her plug. As in 3 pin plug. My current German Shep is 13 and the best friend anyone could ever have. My other is a Rotty/Doberman cross who is the worlds most gently creature. She found me at a rescue centre about 10 years ago and has given me a loving home every day since.

I have a greyhound rescued from some dive in Gnosall, a great dog very quiet and great temperament, likes to lay on its back full length of the settee, but when walked if she sees a cat or bird she turns into a lunatic :)

Aawwww lovely dogs ...... So glad you decided to give both of them a home :)

My mate got a retired greyhound from Greyhound Gap a few years ago and he's the most calm & gentlest dog ........until he sees a furry thing running past ! :D
She had to quickly learn not to leave food on the kitchen side as well. Just the right height to eat his dinner off

We had a 3 legged rescue for 17 yrs (in my avatar). Had already decided on a name for her, but she also answered to her nickname, Hop-A-Long-Cassidy.

Looking forwards to more photos/videos of Tippy & Sandy !

Ah so cute!

I’m really jealous! I would love a dog but time/money/ renting doesn’t allow!

Nice house as well! I’m second in line for that antique cabinet!

Would love a greyhound, gorgeous animals. Dont have the space for a dog of that size unfortunately.
