Electronic Cigarettes

The taste of all e-cigs can be strange at first - but it's amazing how quickly you adjust if you stick with it. ;)

I only use the methol liquid in mine.

The tobacco one was nasty.

Mind you, I used to smoke rollies with menthol filters too!

Menthol fluid is nice I must admit - dependant on which you use some are more minty than menthol - which I quite like.

If anyone has been thinking of giving electronic cigarettes a go (also known as e-cigs), I have recently been trying a few of the brands available, and can highly recommend NUCIG (visit their website here)

If you don't know what electronic smoking is all about, it's basically a rechargeable battery (the main body), onto which is screwed a vaporizer and a cartridge containing a water solution of your chosen flavour and the nicotine. When you slowly inhale through it, it vaporizes and produces what looks, feels and tastes like smoke! Legally, you can smoke them anywhere too.

I've been on them for just a couple of weeks and I was a heavy smoker (roll-ups). I now only smoke a regular fag (now known as analogues - lol) while my battery is on charge! NUCIG also do a disposable tester cig for just £4.99 if you want to give it a try before buying a full kit.

Sounds bizarre at first, but these things are the only way I've ever stayed off the cigarettes. Even when i had patches I was smoking at the same time, but these really work for me. Hope this info helps someone.

Any opinions on Vapestick. I tried these because they're being sold in Tesco Pharmacies so thought they'd be OK. However, am finding the components very variable in quality - not cheap to buy the starter kit either - very disappointed, don't want to shell out again for a starter kit for another brand. Any advice please?

I've tried many... I was even dealing them on a website of my own - but again the quality issues varied too much. For a pleasant vape every time go for a nucig
The carts work out quite dear but the vape is consistently good. Only used their menthols myself but very pleasing indeed. You need to buy the standard starter kit (not value).... It comes with a pocket charging case so that the second battery is always on charge on the go.
Also, I think it works out slightly cheaper to buy the charger case, 2 batteries and pack of 5 max volume cartomizers seperately! Plus doing it that way you get to choose your strength and flavour instead of getting 5 different strengths you might not use.

Just been looking at the vapestick brand - NASTY!! Seperate atomizer & cartridge which contains a TINY amount of foam soaked in fluid?? There are many similar brands and I don't rate them at all.

The nucig ones use cartomizers (cartridge and atomizer combined). This means they cost a bit more but they also contain much more fluid and give MASSES of vapour!

Interesting read, I've been using E-lites and while they are 'realistic' they do not seem to last long at all - some last longer than others. I won't be going back to E-lites....

So what do you think is the top choice for value and quality

With e-cig's I'm affraid you have a choice to make, which is value OR quality. I've yet to find both in the same item. As said, nucig are great quality (in my opinion), but there's a price tag!! Value-wise I could suggest loads, but the quality then doesn't compare quite to that of the nucig.

i use VIP cig.. i think there great.had no problems with them. starter kit is about £15 ...but they do an executive set including..12 cartridges, battery , box, usb charger, and wall charger for about £25 if you buy it on certain days when its the daily deal (think its friday, sat, sun). each cartridge equals to about 40 fags and its £8.99 for 5 cartridges.I've only been using them for bout a month though, so im no expert :)
Nucig seems really good, might give them a next , like the idea of charging on the go...and you can get pink ones :D
i'm actually quite supprised how popular electronic cigs are actually!
