There is House of Bread that operate in Stafford - They're based on the Technology Park, which is up the Weston road (past the hospital)

Their facbook page is here https://www.facebook.com/h.o.b.stafford/ if you have internet access send them a message and they may be able to help.

Do you know where the job centre is in town? It might be worth you popping down and having a chat with them.

Good luck

If you can get to the job centre they should give you a crisis loan the same day . It won't be a lot but it will be enough to get food

You can also contact Women's Aid in Stafford, they are very good and can give you advice on all sorts of things, I think they also have a food bank

Have you found the help you need @Crazy hamster lady ?

Tag me - ie use the @ symbol then. type 'With...' that should be enough, click on the name in the box - and it will give me an 'alert', basically a Bat Signal sort of thing. More than happy to give a helping hand if needed.

Better to have and not need than to need and not have, what?

Rising Brook Church also has a food bank - they support the community in other things too. They have a furniture project that gives free furniture to people that cannot afford it. Of course, that means that they have to rely on the kind donations of people giving them their unwanted furniture - Please contact me if you have any furniture that could go to someone in need.
There is also an information and guidance session on Thursday 10 -2 - information on benefits and debts, housing, and family matters. I'm amazed at how much goes on at the church and how much good they do.
