Examples of poor driving you have witnessed!

It is not just drivers that behave badly on the road, pedestrians jaywalking are another hazard and yesterday I had to dodge a few in Birmingham.

I have a dashcam video from the crossroads by Pennycrofts Court when a pedestrian just walked straight out in front of me when I was on a green light without even looking, pausing or anything...

Also been seeing some awesome parking recently - think I can probably pull together a compilation of those as well!

Not bad driving, bad pedestrianing this morning...

Crossing by Asda, the traffic lights had changed clearly back to green, the red man was showing and the cars in the right hand lane were about to move off when a woman walked straight out in front of them crossing the road - didn't even look at the lights

The just moving traffic in the right lane stopped, but the car coming up in the empty left lane (heading through a clear green light) almost took her out - the best bit was the look she gave the driver, as if he was completely in the wrong (even though he wasn't...)

I think if car drivers had to wait at the lights as long as pedestrians do in Stafford then there'd be a lot more drivers going through on red.

The timings are such that these people are unlikely to be able to get across before the green man disappears.

Very true - I'll always give way to them if they are crossing

What gets me is when people cross when the lights are clearly against them - its the pedestrian equivalent to red light running

Similar thing happened by the lights between TGF Pizza and The Island on Saturday morning. Lights for the cars had actually gone to green, and luckily for the pedestrian the 2 lanes of traffic she was about to walk across stopped when they saw her. She just sauntered across as though she had the right of way, and seemed oblivious to the fact she could have been under someones wheels .

On the way back to our car , at the same spot by those lights a cop car pulled a woman up for going in the wrong lane a bit further back . She just said to him , through her wound down window.."Oh it's ok...I don't come from around here! "

I always give way to pedestrians, especially if they are elderly or infirm.

Since tearing my ligaments a few years ago, I do tend to have more patience with people who have started crossing on the green man, the lights change and they can't get over the rest of the way quick enough.

To the bearded, long-haired bloke driving a silver Fiesta who decided it would be a great idea to turn across me at the Riverway lights causing me to do a full scale emergency stop, I salute your complete and utter f*ckwittery Well done that man.

To the arsehole who overtook me on Fairway as I indicated right to turn into a drive; I hope that when you inevitably die in a fiery crash, the only person you hurt is yourself.

I'm actually flabberghasted that the cops actually made the effort to stop anyone. Unheard of!!

I am happy to give as much time as required to pedestrians who start crossing when the lights are on red. those who start crossing when the lights are on green however get short shrift and I take great delight in revving my engine loudly when they are half way across to make them think that I'm going to mow them down. That usually hastens them along somewhat. Note I don't do this to elderly people :)

Mad psycho little white haired old lady in a silver fiesta or saxo who tried to drive head first into the side of me on Newport Rd.

I was in the Tesco filter lane at the lights on the Chetwyned side of the rd, little old lady was facing me at the lights on the opposite side of the rd waiting to turn right into Tesco. When the lights changed, instead of following the traffic into Tesco she came diagonaly at the side of my car & tried to squeeze past through completely the wrong entrance, then just shrugged when she realised! ....I thought first that she had lost control of the car....

If you know this person, please stop her driving!

I have seen an old couple with their car stuck between the pedestrian refuge on the Tesco crossing. It was a small car and both sets of wheels were in between the two refuge. How they got their car stuck there I really don't know.

These dudes had blatant disregard to other car users at Lidls' to-day. They swanned across the car park, flew into a space haphazardly, then became really flighty when asked if they were going to be using the shops. I was in Lidls' for well over an hour and when I came back out, they were there empty winged - and still they hadn't been billed.
