Black Range Rover Sport Y15MPG. Followed this dickhead from Newport Road railway bridge all the way up to Milford. Driving in the gutter the whole time, through all the puddles. Must have soaked at least a dozen people. Dashcam footage given to our local community police womble who will ensure it is placed 'on file' should anyone make a complaint.

I say put it on social media!

Alas the penalties for bad driving do little to counter the act. So many who a banned just carry on driving. Over 10,000 people in this country have 12 points or more on their licences yet are not banned. I watched a police program a few nights ago where a policeman driving at 150mph was unable to keep up with a speeder. The speeder was eventually banned for three months and fined £300.

You only get 5 or 6 years for killing someone by dangerous driving don't you? I know some are genuine accidents but if you breaking the law to start with surely it should be manslaughter.

Yes but a death caused by committing a motoring offence isn't as serious as one caused by something else.

In today's society, killing someone is far less serious than offending someone's feelings anyway.

Are dashcams fitted to new cars as a standard these days ? They really should be, if nothing else the layout could be improved and you could swap out the memory card from the dash rather than fiddle with the camera. I've had one for several years and strangely I feel uncomfortable if it isn't in the car after I've taken it inside to update it. So I wont leave the house until it's back in.
The danger of them is they're a bit addictive when you're viewing the video. For example after driving a boring 200 miles south from Stourbridge to Cornwall I checked the dashcam on the PC and found myself doing the journey again .... I mean it was bloody boring the first time round !!!
Also have you noticed you always 'appear' to be driving faster than you actually were when you're viewing the videos. So much so you become suspicious of the inbuilt GPS speed indication, but it is an illusion.
What got me into dashcams was those videos of that meteor that came down over Chelyabinsk a few years back. The Russians have been into dashcams for some time due to dodgy insurance claims after accidents.

And I for one want to know if a meteor the size of a double decker bus is about to land on top of me. :P

If you find out where he lives we could all go round and jump on his roof and bonnet. Such fun...

He wasn't too bad at the start, but we were trying to cross towards that car :(
Ollie is now shit scared of cars, so that hasn't gone well :(

In other news at lunchtime I was undertaken at speed going past aldi in town. They also undertook the car in front, just as it was changing back to the left lane, causing a bit of a problem. Not nearly as much of a problem as the guy undertaking got when the other car turned it's hidden blue lights on :o

This is not so much poor driving but illegal, inconsiderate parking.

Every day, twice a day the parents picking up their children from school block drives, park near junctions, park on pavements.

I try to not let it get to me, we did after all buy a house near a school, but in the 20 years that I’ve lived here, it’s never been so bad.

This driving instructor parks on the pavement, and close to the junction twice a day, every day during term time.

It makes it incredibly difficult to get out of the road.

They've obviously missed the 'Can't' off the company name.

Apparently parking on the pavement isn’t actually illegal except in the City of London.

Doesn’t stop people being twats though.
And 'they' actually made it a requirement in Corporation Street.

The thing is that driving on a footpath is not permitted, so you should, technically, have to lift the car into and out of its parked position, even if the parking itself is not illegal.

.

But according to the Highway Code, they say don’t park on the pavement because it can obstruct and inconvenience pedestrians, people in wheelchairs, the visually impaired and those with prams and pushchairs.

So it’s not just about illegality, it’s about consideration towards others, something that is definitely lacking in some of the parents who park in our village.

But a driving instructor parking 2 feet away from a junction is ridiculous, she’s made herself a laughing stock.

I'm the same, bought a house opposite a school so shouldn't complain, but if I ever need to get out of my drive at pick up time I can't. It amazes me how many people drive their kids to school. I moved primary schools so I could get there without crossing the road and walk by myself.

Illegal - no. Inconsiderate - yes.

That’s exactly why I said some people are just twats.
