I noticed an accident at the Island by the old Stafford windmill between a young girl driver and a motorbike today , the bike was lying in the road and the rider looked injured, felt sorry for both, no idea how it happened but both still there 20 mins later. the girl said police and ambulance were on their way so hopefully all is now well, I think sometimes bikes can be on your blind side. Wishing them both well.
Tuesday was a busy day for accidents. The one you mention and then somebody was knocked down at the lights on Stone Road at tea time, meaning long delays through a road closure. At the same time, there was an accident on the SWAR where a car seemed to have spun right round.

On the Windmill roundabout issue, I was taken off the road in 2015 when Iwas going round the roundabout from Chell Road and a woman came off Tenterbanks into the side of me and spun me 90 degrees so I was sat facing the windmill! A straight forward claim with an obvious one side claim and when it came to it, she tried to clear herself of blame. To this day, I look back and wonder if she was pissed?

Yeah some ignorant wank*r smashed in to my car while racing up our road to avoid the Stone Road accident. Its a 20 mph zone for a reason :(

And then someone ran my cat over on the Eccleshall Road. It's been a bad week : ( RIP my lil Tesla boy.

So sorry to hear this, its heartbreaking to loose a cat like this, our Tommy ran out infront of a car 6 years ago now (after a huge firework exploded, scaring him). I've still not got over this. Our cats are no longer allowed out after 3pm

Today, some youths left the road at the bottom of Camp Road, car practically on its side. I didn't see it happen, but went past not longer after. People wonder why I take it easy down there.

20 minutes ago i was waiting in the box junction outside the vets on Lichfield road to turn right to go to Hough the retail park and along comes a orange MG electric car heading towards me wanting to turn right in the box junction onto Riverway (which is no entry). Made it clear to her that she couldn't do that and she just shrugged her shoulders (when everyone else ive come across in the same situation straightens the wheels and drives back down lichfield road.
Can only assume she didn't want to queue on the retail park roundabout, sad sad old bitch....

I have turned right there myself - on a bike, which is legal, but definitely not recommended.

Perhaps she was intending to do it fast enough to be on two wheels and claim legality?

Not witnessed but about 6pm I drove past WR Davies and there was a car on its side leaning up a lamp post. Police were there. Half an hour later the road was closed and it was being recovered.

According to one local Just Eat delivery driver, a moped is now a pedestrian mode of transport, not a road vehicle

In other words, moped driving down busy path.

So no longer Category L1 "a two-wheeled vehicle with an engine cylinder capacity in the case of a thermic engine not exceeding 50 cm³ and whatever the means of propulsion a maximum design speed not exceeding 50 km/h" ?

They've been seen driving down the cut through between the crossings estate and salt avenue. Also add into the mix the chipped e-bikes they use!!

An ex- neighbour got fined & lost his licence for riding one of those e-bikes around on public roads & pavements in Stafford just before we left .

As I was heading up the Eccleshall Rd this evening from Greyfriars, this knobheadwankstainpillock in a Blue Golf Reg No. WN23ZFD tore past me and pulled in front, had his mates in the car, probably showing off. You could hear he was revving the bollocks out of the thing, appeared like he was trying intimidate the lady in the car in front of him.
He was on her backside all the way up the Eccy Rd as far as the Henry Boot estate - Cresswell Farm Drive, still revving the life out of the car.
Then he overtook her at speed, Where are the police when you need them? After that I have no idea where they went, don't care. Half expected pull up behind them in Eccleshall at the crossing.

Seems the Police don't care about policing the roads now. All they need to do is park a car down the A34, A513 or Camp Road on an evening and they'd catch all sorts of modded motor maniacs with their loud exhausts and superbike owners "testing their skills".

Marquis Drive seems to be where a lot of the car cruise types hang out these days, it makes an evening walk around that area noisy.

How different things were before the war. My mother was fined for not putting her foot down when cycling to a Halt sign and her brother was fined for his motor cycle being too noisy.

Often this type of driver will have no tax or MOT and therefore, by default, have no insurance. We can take these vehicles off the streets at no cost to the council (ultimately read taxpayer) free of charge but many local authorities don't believe that it is a problem in their area.

Honestly, you could just feel the aggravation building up inside him. Just from the way he had the car up to the bumper of the lady in front. He wasn't able to overtake anytime along the Eccy Rd, due to vehicles heading towards us. But soon as he saw a chance he was off. I hope that somewhere along whatever road he went on, probably the M6. He got caught on several speed cameras and loses more than his license.
