The walls are too damn thick! Now shifted it to the main room and using powerline adapters to get the internet to it, works much better. What has really intrigued me is that it counts passers by and visitors regardless of them connecting, you get no data about them obviously but it knows how many mobile devices probed it and how long they probed it for so uses that to work out your footfall. Of course it's next to the council building and the hairdressers next door is probably accounting for a fair few as well!

Still needs mounting properly, job for the weekend.

Related to this, but not really related, but wasn't going to start another thread so......

I've noticed a few new webinars have appeared, to get free cisco meraki kit. All you have to do is use a UK business email address and company details (including vat number), watch a webinar of around an hour and take a phone call from them to discuss your uses. A mate did this and gave me the access point, which is now in my living room. As I'm looking at a hardware firewall and vpn these new ones came up at just the right time!
