I love that Ripcurl Clio(?) advert with the surfers. I think someone at the advertising agency has been doing some people watching in Cornwall

There are surfers that just sit on the car Park at Fistral and sit there in their wetties just looking - fair enough there are times when you need to gauge the swell/surf and the best places for breaks, etc - but for 2 hours plus? what the hell is with the new MFI adverts?? what message are they trying to convey??

"Do you have a miserable, unsatisfying home-life? Why not treat your nagging witch of a wife to a new kitchen? woah - i've just seen someone i know, and fellow staffordian, in a nintendo wii advert! andreas, g-unit, et al will remember zoe that i used to knock about with, yeeeeeears ago (she came to glastonbury with us one year).. well, she's the "star" of the new Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree advert!

i know this means nothing to the rest of you, but it's so weird seeing an old friend just pop up, plain as day, advertising the world's most popular games console!

I like the reaction of the Sales Assistants - just keep happily plugging your wares people. Whereas if that were me I'd be on the phone to the police complaining about the loonies shouting and screaming in my shop whilst wondering about in their nightgowns... erm.
