This is what we like. Realtime on location reporting.
None of this "I spoke to a workman" stuff here.

Lol I did ask about real ale there are 2 hand pulls but nothing on them she is going to order for next week but not sure on which ones! Think you all could add a bit of ompur and they would take on board... Garden furniture not arriving till next week but you can still enjoy the outdoor bit xxx

I popped in last night based on feedback from Buttermilk.
It's odd to see the place so clean- and the toilets even had loo roll and no graffiti!

The selection of spirits is limited, but the new landlady made a note of my request for rum so definitely the time to pop in and make requests!

As we left, we were told that a local DJ will be playing in there next weekend - he'd popped in to say hello when he saw it was open and left with a gig!

So yes, it looks like real effort will be made to make it into a good town centre bar - my only real gripe was the limited selection of music on the juke box.

With an avatar like yours surely you just need to tap the juke box on the way to the loo and it'll play whatever you want.

How about some beers from our own local brewery, Slaters ? Top Totty is good enough for the House of Commons. I can vouch for both the bottled and draught versions.

Unless they have pool and darts then i doubt that Waddy and Jed will make an appearance.....

I think you may find it is Waddo and that Ged is with a G

However I do remember being in Crewe in 1972 when the whole of The Sheridan took to Gresty Road. Only 66 arrrests but that was because plod ran out of cuffs

Happy days

I heard Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. What's wrong with the jukebox?!?
Popped in on Friday night - bright, clean and you don't stick to anything. Still, we'll soon fix that.

One of my friends played Sabbath- but the song was mislabelled.
No ska!
Not a wide enough range - it had the hits of most bands you'd think of but not album tracks.

Maybe it's been designed to actually keep the punters in instead of having me drive them all out....
I think the old Hogshead's juke box spoiled me.

Called in for a swift pint after work last night. Reckon they've made an OK job of the refurb, if a bit bland. Doom Bar was spot on though and the landlady quite welcoming and chatty. Food apparently in the pipeline once they've got established.
