Chicken going cheap in ASDA.
Barbeque packs of chicken £6.00 consisting of drumsticks, breast fillets & thighs priced at £3.33 per Kg.
As breast fillets are about £6.00 per Kg and drumsticks / thighs about £4.00 per Kg this works out at a pretty good deal.

Last week Tesco were selling their extra special corn fed skin on GTi MkII chicken breasts for £6/kilo. I got 4 packs, I think I may stuff them with something and wrap them in bacon :D

Thats what I thought!

I have some chestnut mushrooms and garlic cream cheese, may be good. Or some stuffed olives perhaps, I also have various chillies/sundried tomatoes/peppers knocking about. Ooh, the choices are endless (as long as it is chicken, and it is wrapped in bacon, naturally).

Has anyone on here tried eddoes? A brown hairy vegetable about the size of a lemon. Saw some in Morrisons and thought that peeled and diced they'd make an interesting addition to a curry instead of my usual okra or sweet potato. Guessing that peeled and diced into about half inch pieces they'd need dropping in the pot about 10 mins before serving.
Various recipes on Google for eddoe mash or eddoe chips. Anyone here tried them?

While I've got my food head on, does anyone here make their own pork scratchings? Deeeelicious!

CBA cooking last night, knocked up a decent biriani type thing with a portion of Asda chicken 56 done in the wok with half a sliced onion and some precooked rice with a portion of Asda Bombay potatoes on the side. Cheap, quick and very tasty, that chicken 56 has got a bit of a kick to it.

Have tried that, tis rather nice!

Today I shall mostly be eating a graze box, when it arrives! Tis a really odd idea, as you don't get to choose exactly what you want, but as I got one free and one half price I thought I'd give them a go. TBH I think I'll cancel after the cheap ones but will see what they are like. Damn internal mail hasn't arrived yet so who knows!

If anyone wants the same deal just stick in code WYVW3DWM.

I got this: http://www.graze.com/b/MP842

Just ate the cherry tomato, basil and Puglian pesto focaccia, twas rather nice. And that code appears to be wrong, for a freebie try WYVW3DW.
