Tonight I shall mostly be eating what can only be called a mexican/jamaican canneloni. Sounds odd, but so far looks lush! I cheated, used a few jars of levi roots rasta pasta sauch (79p in home bargains, never seen it elsewhere) mixed with 1.5Kg of steak mince, half a dozen large onions and a few peppers. Squidged it all into canneloni tubes, which was fun! Bunged on blobs of soft garlic cheese and fresh tomatoes, then covered in a pre-made fresh cheese sauce. Topped with medium mature chedder, mexican salsa cheese and peri-peri breadcrumbs. Serving with ribs, salsa bread (mexican garlic bread) and a salad.

Will see how it tastes before deciding what to do with the other two litres of odd bolognaisey spicy but not chilli concoction we've made. Worked bloody well on pasta on friday :D

This morning I was picking and eating strawberries at the canal side farm at Great Haywood, warm and squishing to juice in my mouth, straight from the poly tunnel, no bending down , they just hang at hand height, and they are just high enough to hide you while you snaffle a few illicit bites.

I am now sitting at the computer eating two chocolate éclairs filled with ice cold cream.

Correction I was, they have been eaten and enjoyed.

I just had a dining experience so bad that I had to sign up to tripadvisor just to leave a bad review. I am in llandudno and made the huge mistake of visiting the New Mediteranean. If you are ever here, PLEASE dont go there. It made the Red Hill look like premier dining. Feck me, it was bad. The old blonde running the place needs a slap, rude as hell and the food was poor too.

In comparison last night we ate at a cheaper establishment in Conwy that rocked, was called chrissies kitchen and it was amazing . spent £60 on 2 adults and a kid, having a starter and a main. All cooked fresh, I had a hot and sour prawn soup followed by a welsh rarebit pork chop. my gf had a chowder starter and pork in cream cider, and the little 'un had an indian banquet that consisted of 5 different small bowls of curry with some rice. If you are ever in Conwy, this place is recommended.

Went to a Frankie & Benny place just outside Colchester on Saturday night, better than expected but a bit expensive for fast food I thought. Strada in Colchester on Friday was pretty good for a chain Italian.
A GP I was dining with told me she'd had a lucky escape years ago when she wrote to Jim'll fix it asking to meet Gary Glitter, thought I'd heard that as a joke recently but she swears that it's true.

Old bread whizzed in the blender with fresh garlic, dried in a warm oven (usually put them in after I've finished cooking something) and leave overnight. Then add spices, I like loads of smoked paprika, black pepper, fennel seeds but you can use anything you fancy really. Makes a great coating for baked chicken breasts.
Coat breasts in flour (I use Gram Flour) beaten egg then the crumbs. 200c oven 25 to 30 mins depending how big your breasts are and Bob's yer uncle.
What's left keeps for ages in an airtight container and you can add subsequent batches as and when.
Cheaper and better than shop bought.

My family loves the smoked bacon ribs sold at Tesco hot Deli section, but unfortunately it was available at limited amount. We have to visit in the morning to make sure we can grab a few and even that we have to come home disappointed sometimes because the bacon ribs were not sold everyday. I understand Tesco only prepares a few bacon ribs daily to make sure they are all sold in the same day for freshness.

I had asked a few butcher but none of them has bacon ribs. Therefore I turned to this forum, if anyone know. Where can I buy the frozen one or pre-baked one, then i can bake it myself?

I wish I need not visit Tesco in the morning just to try my luck on buying bacon ribs and probably back with disappointment if they were sold out or bacon ribs were not sold for the day.
Thanks.
