If plastic is in the air we breath in

And plastic comes from oil

Then does that make us all petrol heads

Or

Canalside farm may do, or Brown & Green at Trentham.

I am planning for a special dinner for my lovely partner valentine next week. I am looking for front hock part of pig (see picture below). Hock is not commonly found in butcher, the front hock (less fat) especially tastes best in my cooking. I asked Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury and butcher at the town, but none of them have it.
Fellow members and neighbors please, where can I get them around Stafford area?
Thanks.

Sorry, I missed your message. I cant find them, at the end my friend brought me some from Birmingham.
The Co-op @ Wildwood sells them on the regular.

For your pig bits i'd ask @ Mottershead - or any proper butchers really, if you gave them some notice - this is not the kind of shizzle they'll just 'have in', but they'll get it for you if you ask them nicely.

A man was ordering his meal in a restaurant but couldn't decide on which wine to have.

"What would you recommend?" he asked the waiter.

"A white wine perhaps, sir." he replied. "A hock, maybe."

"Ah, hic haec hoc ... " said the man .... and the waiter left with the order.

Anyway, the meal was served, but no wine, so the man called the waiter over and asked why the wine he'd ordered hadn't been served.

The waiter replied "Well, sir, you did ask about the wine but when I suggested the hock, you declined."

---------------

Anyway back to the other type of "hock", the missus suggests Mottershead's on Bodmin Avenue. http://www.mmfinefoods.co.uk/ (And failing that try Hindle's on Bridle Road as it's not too far away. https://www.hindlesbutchers.co.uk/

It was their 3rd time of asking. Twice on the same day.
And?

So feckin' what?

Are you butt-hurt because @pasta was miraculously inundated with responses, or massively disappointed that an Honorable member was left bereft?

What's the problem here?

But seriously, any proper butcher can get you anything if you give them a bit of time to get you it.

There's Mottershead on Bodmin Ave, Hindles on Bridle Rd, and the one between Weston Rd and Tixall Rd that probably has a name, and any others i might have missed. You could probably :google/ at least two of the above if you were a bit shy.

Once whilst in Mottershead i overheard a punter asking for pigeons, to which the geezer behind the counter responded that they were off out with the shotgun next week, so come back next Saturday and i'll sort you out.

Or you could just keep typing things into an anonymous void that doesn't care about you or your welfare, until you die, unlamented, and are lowered into a google shaped grave.

Facebook will stand over you, tossing virtual flower petals into your grave, trying to sell life insurance to any mourners that made it to the service.
