Frank Skinner playing bluegrass

I can't believe I missed this show the other night, apparently he was learning to play the banjo, being taught by a complete arse, and then went on to get lessons from the all american champion , who happens to be english and turned out to be a realhill billy by the end of the show.

Has anyone taped it? I have searched the web and got 4 clips on a bbc site but not enough to get my juices flowing, they should make a Deliverence II.

Thanks gon2seed I really envy you, the show is called "Play it Again", the irony is, i wish they would, then i could see it. I have been teaching myself banjo for a few months now and understand the difficulties Frank faced, I wanted to know how he performed after professional tuition. I may have to fork out some sheckles for Dan The Banjo Man Walsh to teach me.

He was reasonably adept when twanging! with two fingers, but just couldn't master three fingers at all!!!!!! (OOoooer!)

i find it difficult keeping my wee finger on the velum when picking, three fingers seems easier than two. Are you sure you didn't record it?
